The public scandal which it associated with these disputes between two gentlemen of high official rank, it is if possible most desirable to avoid and it is His Excellency's most earnest

wish that these actions should not

be allowed to proceed, and for the accomplishment of se deserable a result, Vis Excellency will be happy to lend his aid.
